Post-Invasion[edit]
In June 3052, the Viper Fusiliers and the 126th Striker Cluster invaded Goat Path. This was part of a larger operation which also involved elements of Alpha Galaxy attacking Blackjack simultaneously. The operation was believed to have been ordered in retaliation for Jade Falcon raids on Steel Viper merchant traffic.[1][2]
On Goat Path in 3053, the Fusiliers and Strikers defeated the Second Falcon Jaegers and Fifth Battle Clusters. However, the battle created a perception among the Steel Viper hierarchy that the 126th was best used as a support unit, a reputation that the Cluster's leadership has worked hard to shake.[2] They held the planet throughout the rest of the 3050s and in 3061 the unit was still in position.[3][4]
Ejection from the Inner Sphere[edit]
The Cluster moved back to Clan space and was assigned to garrison Marshall in 3067.[5]
The final fate of the 126th Striker Cluster is not known, but they would not have survived the destruction of Beta Galaxy or that of Clan Steel Viper in 3075.[6]
