The Twelfth Rangers Cluster was a part of Kappa Galaxy in 3145. As one of the new clusters raised in the Dark Age, the unit was assigned to defend Icar in 3145.[1]
Dark Age[edit]
In November of 3150 due to concerns of Oberon Confederation operating in the Horses aligned Republic of the Barrens reconnaissance raids are authorized into the region. The Galaxy Commanders of Kappa and Omega challenge each other to a Circle of Equals. As a result, the Twelfth Rangers deploy to Star's End.[2]. There they encountered bandits who were mining asteroids in the system. The Twelfth were unfamiliar with micro-gravity operations which allowed for the Bandits to escape and resulted in the loss of several Ranger mechs in pursuit of them[3].
