History[edit]

Eridani Light Horse[edit]

At the outbreak of the Jihad the 71st Light Horse regiment had taken station at Huntress, being cut off and alone in the Clan Homeworlds, and faced Trials of Possession from many Clans. One of the Trials that Colonel Sandra Barclay received was a challenge from the Clan Goliath Scorpion commander on Huntress for the Lootera complex and all the troops stationed there. Unlike the previous trials the 71st fought, this time they were defeated.[1] The majority of the survivors were taken as abtakha and formed the basis of two new light clusters along with a scattering of Clan Seekers. The remaining personnel of the 71st, primarily the command staff and most talented MechWarriors, were scattered throughout Clan Goliath Scorpion primarily, with a few taken as isorla by other Clans.[2]

Clan Goliath Scorpion[edit]

In January 3072 the Second Eridani Lancers along with the Sixty-first Strike Cluster from Clan Steel Viper landed on Shadow to join forces with Clan Coyote to undertake the Reaving of Kindraa Mick-Kreese-Kline-Sainze. As was agreed the Coyote force attacked first their assault caught the defenders totally by surprise as did their inclusion of new technologies such as the Assault ProtoMechs, so much so that their three to one odds could not prevent a Coyote victory. The surviving Fire Mandrills including saKhan Dakar Mick surrendered themselves to the Coyote force and were slaughtered by the Coyote Elemental Honor Guard. The honor Guard then turned their weapons on the attendant Viper and Scorpion warriors as the rest of Lambda Galaxy wiped out both clusters. [3]
