Overview[edit]
After the Free Worlds League liberated Callison in 3012, the Lyran Commonwealth had been staging yearly raids on the planet, each increasing in intensity. Exasperated by the constant raiding, Lord Earl Grayson invites the Lyrans to come in and take over. On the 26th of July, 3017, the Seventeenth Arcturan Guards invade the planet in force. Right as the elements of the Seventeenth land under the command of Kommandant Kruger, Lord Grayson holds a council meeting where he executes anyone who votes that they should fight... save for his own daughter, Baroness Fabienne Grayson.
Stunned and outraged that her father has sold them out to the LCAF, Fabienne steals her father's Orion and uses her own funds to hire the Fire Bugs mercenary company who are on planet, but currently not under contract. She then sets out to link up with the Silver Hawk Irregulars who had been in the process of surrendering to the Arcturan Guards by her father's command. She informs the Irregulars that her father had committed an illegal coup of the planetary government and orders the Irregulars to open fire on the assembled LCAF forces. Her timely intervention, with the Fire Bugs backing her up, severely mauls the Arcturan Guards, forcing them off the planet.
The next day, Earl Grayson is arrested and deposed as governor by his own daughter. Fabienne had sent an HPG transmission to the Free Worlds League Parliament and the Parliament agreed that Callison needed reinforcement.
