Planetary History[edit]

Bruges had one megacity. The world had an aggressive native flora that required phosphonates for pesticide use.[4]

Hanseatic Crusade[edit]

During Escorpión Imperio's takeover of the Hanseatic League, Regional Defense Force 8, which had been stationed on Anklan and Visby, hastily redeployed to Bruges at the start of the invasion. Hellion Galaxy landed on-world as part of Wave 2 which began on 28 January 3140 and faced fierce resistance from RDF 8. At some point, the defenders lured the Fifth Scorpion Cuirassiers into an ambush near a chemical processing plant and during the battle, panicking civilians caused an accident by mixing sulfur and phosphonates. The resulting nerve agent dispersed into the air and killed tens of thousands of people. RDF 8 surrendered in hopes of aiding them and Hellion Galaxy accepted, recognizing their honor and claiming them as isorla. The planet, however, became a casualty of the war.[3]
