Carmin Winson was a stout man of average height with prematurely gray hair. He had deep blue eyes. He had few peers as a tactical commander which was how he earned his rank of Star Colonel. However, he was unorganized and a poor administrator. His staff was always in an uproar trying to keep track of his actions. For these reasons, he was unlikely to advance further than his current rank in the Clan touman.[1]
He was a reserved individual uncomfortable with the attention his high profile unit received. However, he was a gifted exobiologist who spent most of his free time with the Scientist Caste at the zoological gardens on Strana Mechty.[1]

Carmin Winson was the commanding officer of the Seventh Battle Cluster of Clan Wolf in July 3050.[2]
After sending the batchall to Vantaa's defenders, was surprised when Marshal Sarah Steiner truthfully stated her forces' strength, the surviving two-thirds of the Tenth Donegal Guards (fresh from facing the Wolves at Chateau) along with Alpha and Bravo battalions of the Third Regiment of the Twelfth Star Guards, and a equest that the desert of Shaitan Valley serve as the designated battleground. Carmin agreed and deployed the Seventh Battle Cluster. The two sides met and engaged each other according to the proscriptions of zellbrigen, with combat consisting of honorable duels between individual warriors. When half of her units had been destroyed Marshal Steiner requested that the remainder be allowed to withdraw and, much to her surprise, Star Colonel Carmin Winson granted her hegira.[2]
