The Charmed Life was a company-sized mercenary outfit with a long history (but few details) of service with the Capellan Confederation. Charmed Life specialized in discrete operations, like recon, espionage, and light raiding.[1].
The unit was lost during their recon mission to the Capellan shipyard world Necromo on October 3071 on behalf of the Capellans, after Necromo had fallen silent (as it turned out, because of devastating asteroid bombardment combined with the release of a bioweapon). Circumstances strongly suggest the entire unit perished on Necromo. The Capellan Confederation did not disclose this to the follow-up recon team.[2]
