History[edit]

Amaris Civil War[edit]

Darabont's Damned were contracted by Amaris forces, and were largely responsible for the rape and devastation visited on Zollikofen.

When the unit saw how the SLDF crushed every Republican force that stood in its way but skipped Zollikofen to conquer Terra, the mercenaries decided to cut their losses and flee rather than wait for Kerensky to turn his attention towards them.

Darabont's Damned pulled off Zollikofen in March of 2777 and headed roughly coreward, jumping back and forth across the Lyran Commonwealth and Draconis Combine borders to hide their route, and ultimately disappeared into the Periphery.

First Succession War[edit]

They started to sell themselves as mercenaries and changed their name to Dark Spirits. They were hired out by House Marik during the First Succession War after spending more than a decade in private security service.[3]
