Description[edit]
The Deusenberg VIP Luxury Hovercar was the brainchild of Hanse Davion who commissioned it four years prior to the start of the Fourth Succession War to be part of the public-relations tour that would awe the nobility of his entourage, and provide for their ultimate protection when they went to the expected newly conquered worlds.[1][2]
Deusenberg's fortunes were on the wane even prior to the Jihad as with Katherine Steiner-Davion's usurpation of the New Avalon throne and hence the Federated Suns, many sycophantic courtiers and nobles opted to "go Lyran" to curry favor with the Archon-Princess, and replaced the Deusenberg with Avanti hoverlimos. The end of the FedCom Civil War seemed to indicate a turning point, only for the Jihad to come and see Deusenberg's facilities destroyed[4], with the vehicle out of production since 3068.[2]
Equipment and Capabilities[edit]
The vehicle is unarmed and has excellent seating for six passengers and a cargo capability of 6,05 Tons.[1][2]
Variants[edit]
- Deusenberg One
- This was the custom Deusenberg available for Hanse Davion. It was upgraded in 3050 by reducing the cargo capabilities to 1.55 Tons and installing a Beagle Active Probe, a Guardian ECM Suite and 3 A-Pods. The vehicle has not been seen since late 3062.[2]
Design Quirks[edit]
The Deusenberg has the following Design Quirk:[2]
- Obsolete (3068)
Notes[edit]
