History[edit]
Galax Launch Systems was a satellite manufacturing company, most well known for their SEU-193D Starcomm range of satellites. As the company name suggested, Galax Launch Systems had originally been located on Galax, but the Word of Blake attack on Galax during the Jihad destroyed Galax Launch System's manufacturing facilities there.[1]
In contrast to many companies located on Galax, Galax Launch Systems was able to relocate, opening production facilities on Delavan; the demand for new satellites to replace those destroyed by the Blakists was so high that production on Delavan was three times that of the original facilities on Galax, and by 3084 Galax Launch Systems was actually prospering in comparison to its pre-Jihad position.[1]
