ClassOverlord (uncertain; see text)'

The Holocroft is a spheroid DropShip of unspecified class. It outwardly resembles an Overlord, but it was not a 'Mech carrier, carrying vehicles instead.[1] It might therefore be a vehicle carrying variant of the Overlord, either a so-called "Overlord-Two" or a custom-modified vessel. Although tentatively identified as an Overlord for the purpose of this article, it should be noted that artwork depicting the Holocroft landing suggests the ship's dimensions may be significantly smaller than those of an Overlord.

When Duke Michael Hasek-Davion had an unsanctioned military operation carried out against the Capellan Confederation-held periphery world of Tibolt in 3025, the self-identified "archaeological vessel Holocroft" delivered digging equipment including large, tracked drilling machines to the contested world. Within hours of the ship touching down at Refinery City, workers with a precise idea of where to look had penetrated into a subterranean facility containing cached BattleMechs.[2]

The Davion troops at Refinery City felt they would not be able to hold the city against approaching enemy reinforcements, but apparently hoped to make off with whatever the Holocroft's crew was after–an unspecified price that was considered vastly more valuable than even the 'Mechs in the cache.[3]

Canonicity[edit]

The Holocroft only appears in a source that is itself apocryphal, and by extension must be considered apocryphal as well.
