Colonel James Rechard was the commanding officer of the Twenty-fifth Skye Rangers, with the Lyran Commonwealth, during the Reunification War.[1]
History[edit]
Rechard was a fan of Terra's Wild West, which earned him the nickname "Pistol Jim" from his troops, who he called gunslingers. His sympathy for his Rim Worlds Republic enemies, who he considered "Indians" fighting for their homes, however resulted in Archon Viola Steiner disparagingly calling him "Hawkeye" instead.[1]
His attitude in this regard was made famous in the book Desert Fights: The Reunification Wars by Crepto Sals published by Skye Military Press in 2602, in which he was portrayed as imagining the battles between his unit and the RWR, like the games of cowboys and Indians his children played at home.[2]
