Kennedy Odumbe was the fourth director of the ComStar Explorer Service, holding the post from 3031 to 3052.[1]
History[edit]
A staunch supporter of Myndo Waterly, following Waterly's assumption of the Primacy of ComStar and the abrupt resignation of Director of the Explorer Service Sumire Hiyama in 3031, Waterly selected Odumbe to replace her opponent Hiyama. Odumbe immediately instituted an expanded program of exploration missions including the infamous and ill-fated mission of the Outbound Light.[1]
Remaining director during the entire reign of Primus Waterly, Odumbe dutifully followed her instructions to establish contact with the Clans following their sudden and mysterious appearance in 3049, even when this initially resulted in the destruction of their ships following their failure to respond to batchalls. Following the ComStar Schism, Kennedy Odumbe was one of the many ComStar members who fled to join the Word of Blake, with Primus Sharilar Mori selecting Padraig O Bhaoil as his replacement in January 3053.[1]
