The Kesari were a political movement that took hold among the Nova Cat warrior caste in the early part of the 32nd century.
History[edit]
In large part a reaction to the many setbacks suffered by Clan Nova Cat since siding with the Second Star League in the Great Refusal, many Nova Cats began to question the clans' reliance on visions and mysticism. An outgrowth of this de-emphasis of mysticism among the overall Nova Cat population, the Kesari were an ultra-pragmatic faction who felt that the pursuit of visions had led the clan to ruin. This belief caused the Kesari to regard members of the Mystic Caste as freaks and shun them.[1]
After winning her Bloodname in 3114, Jacali Nostra joined the Kesari, quickly assuming a leadership position in the growing movement and using their support to easily win election to Khan in 3120.[2] Even with Khan Nostra's election, the Kesari have been unable to completely eliminate the use of visions as a driving force in Nova Cat plans.[1]
