Profession Mercenary MechWarrior

Lars Reichenbach - call sign Flatline - was a mercenary MechWarrior operating in the rimward Periphery circa 3025.

History[edit]

Born on Arcturus, the original capital of the Lyran Commonwealth, Lars Reichenbach's youth was spent in one of the metropolises reclaimed by the planet's ecosystem after the Lyran throne was moved to Tharkad. As a result his childhood was an odd mix of urban and rural.

Raised with a near fanatical devotion to the Commonwealth like many Arcturans, Lars enlisted in the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces when he came of age. On his first tour with the LCAF, he was assigned to the infantry with a focus on anti-'Mech operations. Spending most of his tour living in harsh environments avoiding being stomped on or shot at by enemy 'Mech convinced Lars to use his earnings from his enlistment to attend the Blackjack School of Conflict and become a MechWarrior.

Assigned to the Sixth Lyran Guards after graduation, the unconventional but effective methods taught at the Blackjack School of Conflict ensured Lars fit in well with the Saucy Sixth. The Thirteenth Battle of Hesperus however would shatter his loyalty to the Sixth and the Lyran military, convincing Lars that his life and skills were worth more than a government paycheck, leaving the LCAF to seek fame and fortune in the Solaris Games.

Despite a promising start on Solaris VII, an embarrassing defeat soon saw Lars reduced to eking out a living fighting small-time matches out in the Reaches. A taste for expensive living and gambling soon resulted in Lars racking up some serious debt, convincing him to sell his skills as a mercenary in the Periphery to pay off his debts before those he owed sent debt collectors after him.
