History

Lira was a MechWarrior in the Clan Ice Hellion touman during the thirty-first century. During the Ice Hellion invasion of the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone, dubbed Operation ICE STORM, Lira served as the Executive Officer of the 200th Attack Cluster - also known as the Lithe Kill Keshik - under the command of saKhan Connor Rood. During the opening stages of the invasion, Lira piloted a Shadow Cat OmniMech.

Lira was one of Connor Rood's more capable and loyal officers, supportive of his philosophy of treating warfare as a craft, and placing the good of her Clan above her own personal honor. This helped the Lithe Kill Keshik to achieve a number of successes, such as not only defeating the Eleventh Provisional Garrison Cluster on Bone Norman in June 3071, but also capturing a number of bondsmen including Star Colonel Idris and recovering a substantial amount of salvage. During the pivotal battle, in which Star Colonel Idris and saKhan Rood were each attempting to ambush the other, Rood trusted Lira to initiate a general melee at the appropriate time, allowing him to bring in the forces commanded by Star Captain Adam - another trusted subordinate - at the most effective time, while countering Idris' well-planned trap. Lira also claimed at least one kill during the battle, killing a MechWarrior named Beckham when her opening volley destroyed the cockpit of Beckham's Horned Owl with a well-placed Gauss rifle shot.

Born of a Taney sibko, Lira's actions in the opening stages of Operation ICE STORM ensured that, had the opportunity arisen, she would have been sponsored for a Bloodname. In October 3071, Lira led the Ice Hellion forces that captured Last Chance.

Lira was killed in November 3071 on Lackhove, leading her Trinary against forces from the Falcon Guards. The Jade Falcons had declared the Ice Hellions to be dezgra, and while the Falcon Guards were pressing the Lithe Kill Keshik, the Falcons bombarded the Ice Hellions with Arrow IV missiles. SaKhan Rood was being pressed closely by a Jade Falcon Stormcrow and was unable to retreat, and Lira held off from withdrawing long enough to fire on the Stormcrow and cripple it, allowing Rood to disengage. Unfortunately, Lira's Shadow Cat hadn't been repaired after the battles on Last Chance and had taken further damage on Lackhove; when struck by an Arrow IV missile, her 'Mech was destroyed and Lira was killed.

Following Lira's death, her de facto replacement as aide to saKhan Rood was Star Captain Breanne Cage.
