Planetary History[edit]

Star League Era[edit]

Manteno is experiencing a period of sometimes violent geologic activity which has disrupted lives and industries on the planet.[1]

This tectonic activity was unusual, in fact Terran Hegemony scientists found Manteno a stable world with easily reached minerals, metals, and gemstones. The world was quickly settled and became a cornerstone of the Federated Suns' economy.[1]

First Succession War[edit]

Manteno was invaded during the second half of the major invasion into the Federated Suns launched by the Draconis Combine in May 2791.[10] During the First Succession War a raid by the Draconis Combine damaged or destroyed most of the factories on the world. It took two centuries to rebuild them, and then the earthquakes began.[1]

Manteno was liberated by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns in 2802 during the first major AFFS counteroffensive of the First Succession War against the Draconis Combine.[11]

Third Succession War[edit]

Several eruptions began in 3017 and eight years later 20% of the population had emigrated and 10% of the businesses on the world had relocated elsewhere.[1][36]

After this, NAIS opened a facility that investigated on geological activities.[36]

On March 3021 Arian's Demons, a company from the First battalion of Stapleton's Grenadiers raided the planet to seize the NAIS facility. They wiped the defending forces, Dasarick's Knights, the local Duke's private 'Mech company and razed the NAIS complex, though they only were able to steal a small amount of marginal data.[36]

In 3025, the ComStar facility was closed for repairs due to damage sustained during several earthquakes.[1]
