The Martial College of Donegal was a Lyran Commonwealth academy.[1]

The Martial College of Donegal was, during the Star League era, the oldest military academy in the Lyran Commonwealth. While its equipment and facilities were less modern than those of other Lyran academies, it was one of the only academies to offer training for WarShip and other spacecraft crews. While the academy was steeped in tradition, the MCD struggled with outdated facilities. The Lyran High Command was seeking to wind down operations at the school during the final years of the Star League, but the failure of other schools to expand had prevented this.[1]
At some point during the Succession Wars, the Martial College of Donegal closed its doors.[2] It was succeeded as the primary school for space crews by The Nagelring and the Flight Academy of Thorin[3].
Training[edit]
The MCD specialized in training crew for WarShips and other spacecraft. It also worked to produce soldiers other than MechWarriors and aerospace pilots, fields which were the focus of many other schools in the Commonwealth.[1]
