MISSION BRIEFING

The WOB is detaining locals and accusing them of being rebels. We are going in to free them.

Objective: Destroy Local Forces – Local WOB forces must be destroyed, along with their ability to call for help.

Objective: Secure Escape Route – You’ll need a secure escape route once you liberate the prisoners. Make sure the canyon is clear.

Objective: Liberate Prisoners – Destroy the defenses and gates of the internment camp.

Natalia: We’ve obtained information that more suspected rebels are being made to work in factories reinforcing the Word of Blake.

Foster: We can kill two birds with one stone by freeing the prisoners and destroying the factories. We’re going to hot-drop you in, sir. There are two outposts between you and the camp. Take their comm towers out and, as always, flatten any hostile troops.

DURING MISSION

Foster: The first Nav Point will lead you right to the outpost comm tower. Dust it!

Objective: Destroy defending forces and communications tower.

Foster: I’m reading a ‘Mech repair yard ahead. Should be some salvage for us.

Objective: Secure salvage yard and eliminate enemy forces.

Natalia: Some of those ‘Mechs are still damaged. We caught ‘em with their pants down.

Natalia: Good work. Let’s free those civilians, get out of here, and find Ragnarok.

Foster: Comm tower two, marked and on radar.

Objective: Sever communications at second WOB outpost.

Foster: Incoming bombers. Watch yourself!

Foster: Sir, to clear the way for the prisoners, the turrets ahead need to be destroyed. I’ve never seen so many fixed defenses in one place. Are they pointed the wrong way?

Natalia: MechWarrior, you should be able to see the camp from where you are.

Foster: Sir, looks like a very light guard force. Should be cake.

Foster: Sirs, something is wrong. I’m not picking up any signs of the prisoners. And why is there only one guard?

Strader: Foolish mercenaries! All it took is civilians to lure you here? You are weak.

Foster: Incoming DropShip, it’s hot-dropping a ‘Mech!

Natalia: Captain, deal with this and return ASAP. We need to pay this butcher back.

Foster: Sir, watch yourself. The DropShip’s returning and it’s hot dropping another ‘Mech.

Objective: Destroy the airdropped ‘Mechs.

Strader: Savor your victory, mercenary. I will personally assure your death and all those on this planet.

Natalia: Captain, return to the Icarus. We need to settle this and shut Strader up, Ragnorok or no.
