BRIEFING[edit]
Sinclair: The Rim Collective has rallied with Federated Suns forces around Portal. There are also some disorganized reports of the Collective attacking a Lyran camp, or chasing remaining pirates through a Lyran camp.
Sinclair: Our job will be to salvage any supplies from an abandoned supply depot left by the fleeing pirates. We’ve done a good job. Too bad Dominic isn’t here to see it.
DURING MISSION[edit]
Alan: I’m starting to think these New Belt Pirates aren’t so tough.
Sinclair: I’m inclined to agree, Alan. Let’s get the salvage, and…
Corona Base: Holy crap!
Sinclair: Damocles One to Base. What the hell is going on?
Corona Base: Oh my lord, we’ve got all types of signals showing up in orbit. It’s a whole invasion. DropShips are landing all over the planet.
Sinclair: That can’t be!
Corona Base: Ain’t nothing to do but dig in and hold on. Find a secure area and take cover immediately!
Sinclair: Roger that, base.
Sinclair: Damocles One to Corona Base, what now?
Corona Base: You’re on your own, Lieutenant. We’ve got our own problems. But be advised, an enemy DropShip has been detected between you and the objective area, so expect company.
Sinclair: Leave it to Susie Ryan to make this interesting. Sinclair out.
Susie Ryan: Thought you’d sneak out through here, huh, Sinclair?
Sinclair: Seemed like a good idea at the time. I’m open to suggestions, though.
Susie Ryan: You could always give up. I promise, I won’t shoot you.
Sinclair: No thanks!
Sinclair: Other commanders don’t have to put up with this. This is getting ridiculous.
Sinclair: Connor Sinclair to Base. I have arrived and secured the area.
Corona Base: Acknowledged, Lieutenant. Sorry, but we were totally unprepared for this.
Sinclair: No kidding! Sinclair out.
AFTERMATH[edit]
Sinclair: All present and accounted for – the three of us who are left of the Commando. The pirates are everywhere. I don’t know how this could happen. DropShips everywhere you turned! Not only that, but they’ve retaken their advance base near Corona, though it’s severely hampered by the lack of power. Worse, they’ve established a camp along the road to Madre, and may have found a new way to the crater. Some of the Lyrans are screaming that the Rim Collective has betrayed Veil, and the Collective throws the accusation right back. I can’t explain how all this has happened, but it’s time to draw a line in the dirt, and see who stands on our side against this invasion.
