Operation 4, Mission 5[edit]
BRIEFING[edit]
Sorenson: Here’s an overview of the facility we’re about to enter. We pulled it from the fortress. I’m afraid that this is gonna have to be a solo mission for you, Lance Leader. However, if experience is any clue, we’ll only see Elementals and Light ‘Mechs.
Epona Rhi: So what is this place?
Sorenson: From what we’ve pieced together, this one facility produces enough geothermal energy to supply the entire peninsula and then some. Each of these triangular areas will house core tap systems. At the far end, we have an elevator that will lift us to the caldera above. We can’t risk more than one ‘Mech in that inferno. I’m afraid you’re elected, Lance Leader.
DURING MISSION[edit]
Male Jaguar: The elevator system must be shut down. Galaxy Commander Corbett’s orders were clear. Not one of the intruders will leave here alive.
Female Jaguar: Ejecting!
Sorenson: And…right into the lava. She’s not coming back.
Male Jaguar: They are coming in at the east. Try to trick them into the lava.
Male Jaguar: Stay in formation. Watch your heat.
AFTERMATH[edit]
Gunner: Oh sure, just a few light Sunders. Good call!
Epona Rhi: Oh bloody lava lake. I’m looking forward to the snow and ice again after that sauna.
Sorenson: We need to hold for a few more minutes. I’ve got some men heading topside for a quick look, so we won’t be coming up blind.
