As of 3059, the Essex-class destroyer Moore's Honor was a WarShip within the Clan Ice Hellion touman and was serving as the CIH Moore's Honor;[1] the Moore's Honor continued to serve the Ice Hellions throughout the next decade.[2]

History[edit]

When the Ice Hellions launched their invasion of the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone in the Inner Sphere in mid-3071 the Moore's Honor was one of the WarShips deployed. One of the first actions conducted by all thirteen Ice Hellion WarShips including the Moore's Honor was to secure the Dark Nebula, destroying the small Jade Falcon naval force there and securing the largely-abandoned facility.[3]

The Moore's Honor was caught alongside the Aegis-class heavy cruiser CIH Taney in an early Jade Falcon counterattack that hit the world of Somerset in an attempt to slash into the flank of the advancing Ice Hellion forces. Attacking with the First Falcon Hussars and the Falcon Stoop Naval Attack Star, the Jade Falcons were the victors in the resulting naval battle. The Texas-class battleship CJF Falcon's Nest and the Vincent Mk. 42-class corvette CJF Lightning Strike crippled the maneuvering drive on the Moore's Honor in their opening pass; Star Admiral Kim Hasbrin, the commanding officer of the Taney, attempted to use the Honor as a decoy, combined with some deft maneuvering to escape. However, the Taney was pursued relentlessly by the Falcon's Nest and a number of aerospace fighter Stars, who continued to harry the ship until it was destroyed.[3]

Unlike the Taney, the Moore's Honor managed to escape from Somerset, and in November 3071 was acting as an escort to the supply ships assigned to Beta Galaxy. The Moore's Honor was destroyed along with three Ice Hellion JumpShips by the Potemkin-class cruiser CHH Steel Shield and the Lola III-class destroyer CHH Black Knight when Clan Hell's Horses attacked the Beta Galaxy forces at Toland.[4][5]
