History[edit]
Octavio Zhou was born in a minor noble house from Itrom. His wealth and position allowed him to focus on piloting the family BattleMech in local tournaments. When he came of age he joined the Itrom Security Force as per family tradition.[1]
He was critically wounded when his lance was caught in a pirate ambush, and he needed over a year to recover. After House Espinosa's coup arrived to Itrom, House Zhou was forced to leave the planet, and in order to help his family, he became a mercenary MechWarrior. He was part of Markham's Marauders during the Restoration War, accounting for multiple Taurian Assault 'Mechs during the Battle of Tyrlon. [1]
Arano Restoration[edit]
After the conclusion of the Arano Civil War Octavio would find himself serving in the Aurigan Coalition's special Rampart Company as part of the mop-up efforts.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
A stock AWS-8Q Awesome was the first Assault-class 'Mech recovered by Rampart Company. Zhou took to it with enthusiasm, naming it "Firehose".[1]
