Richard de Gambier was the commanding officer of the Second Royal Guards from March 3055 to January 3059.[1][2]
History[edit]
Clan Invasion[edit]
In March 3055, de Gambier replaced Richard Regis II as commander of the Second Royal Guards. Despite his family ties and impressive leadership skills, Regis lacked the political network to hold such a prestigious command. De Gambier was eventually outmaneuvered by his predecessor, who proved he'd learned from his mistake by building a network of connections throughout the LAAF. Regis reclaimed his command in early 3059.[2]
FedCom Civil War[edit]
During the FedCom Civil War, de Gambier served as an aide for Peter Steiner-Davion after his return to Tharkad in 3066.[3] However, he did not reclaim his prior position, as Steiner-Davion left General Regis in command of the Second.[4]
