Robert Benson was born on Claybrooke.[1]
He started his career as a Tech, but most probably at the same time of his fallout with her sister Judith, he converted to a MechWarrior.[2]
On 3146, Benson was new to the Solaris dueling circuit fighting for Team Teapot. He was known for having a "good heart." Benson demonstrated the classic talents of someone who learned how to drive a 'Mech long before he ever bothered to learn its weapon systems. But while he may have had trouble landing his laser hits over long distances, his piloting was actually much more refined than those of a typical jock. He piloted his 'Mech remotely from the cockpit of his teammate Penny O'Hara's 'Mech.
Robert Benson was known for his blinding strikes from the 'Mech's clawed hands and feet that often teared away tons of armor in a single strike. His Dueling Record (W/L/D) was 8/6/2.[1]
