History[edit]

The Seventeenth Liao Lancers officially formed in 2783, but their origins lay in an older command, the 166th Mechanized Infantry Division and the 147th Mechanized Infantry Division.[1] The 166th was originally a part of XXXVII Corps within the Star League Defense Force Fourth Army,[2] but in 2783 the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces recruited two battalions of assorted personnel from the 166th and used them as the basis for mustering the Seventeenth.[1]

Seventeenth Liao Lancers (Regiment/Veteran/Questionable)[3]

- At this point in time the Seventeenth was a light-weight regiment operating at full strength and was based on Chengdu.[3]In 2821 the unit was operating at little more than a quarter of full strength.[3]

2830[edit]

17th Liao Lancers (Regiment/Regular/Questionable) [4]

Note: At this point in time the light-weight unit was stationed on Chengdu with an operational readiness of 68 percent. [4] The unit was destroyed during the war.[4]
