The Sharpe Rifles were stationed on Sharpe in 2765. The unit was formed after the Confederation joined the Star League. Part of the reason for their formation was the Strategios' concern about the reliability of the Centauri Guards units.[1]

- - At this point in time the Rifles were a medium-weight regiment operating at full strength and were stationed on Sharpe.[2] In 2821 the unit was operating at below half-strength and were stationed on Stein's Folly.[2]

- Note: At this point in time the medium-weight unit was stationed on Stein's Folly with an operational readiness of 91 percent.[3] The unit was destroyed during the war.[3]
