Simon Becker was a fighter in Solaris VII during the Jihad.
After the Jihad ended, he was one of the many involved in salvage contracts with the Solaris Home Defense League. He got into a grudge with Marcus Hibberson about one of them. And they decided to settle it Solaris way: with a match.
So in the 23 February 3069, one of Xolara's Arena was the site of the match, with an unlicensed bout to settle the grudge.
The two opponents traded long-range shots like that for a while, circling around the arena field without closing. Hibberson was staying out of reach of the Daimyo's lasers and Short Range Missiles, but Becker was refusing to rush in. Finally Hibberson got impatient and hit his jump jets, flying across the arena and landing within ninety meters of the damaged Daimyo. Becker did use his lasers then, but the Pulse Lasers on Hibberson Clint were more precise, scoring damage across the Daimyo's torso. Becker pulled back, almost to the arena border before he struck back. A lucky PPC shot took the Clint's right arm off. Hibberson charged, but by then it was too late. Although heavily damaged, the Daimyo held its own long enough to take the Clint's left leg, and with that Becker got the match.[1]
