The Solaris Civic Council is the Solaris VII office responsible for ensuring that the Solaris Games are run fairly.[2]
Operations[edit]
As part of their operations, the Solaris Civic Council ensures that:
- A gladiator has a dueling license. Depending on the arena class they want to fight in, it can cost between 5,000 to 50,000 C-bills (a waiver can be obtained instead for each individual fight, but at double the cost).
- There is no cheating in the matches. The Council checks and reports MechWarriors and matches trying to find if they have been fixed. There is a service to help those warriors that denounce these acts, and they are protected (in theory) if they condemn the problem.
- The health of the MechWarriors. In order to do that, the Council runs analyses on them, for example, it runs several tests to check that there is no tampering against them, or tampering to help them. These controls are run at random.
