Sonic Owens was a Precentor VIII within ComStar who rose to command 9th Army in 3067.[1][2]
He was more a diplomat than military commander. Owens tried ceaselessly to convince the LAAF of ComStar and of the 9th's neutrality, before changing tack to indicate the excessive cost and grave consequences of removing his command. The 9th's avoidance of major involvement in the FedCom Civil War was attributed to his efforts.[1][2]
