A mercenary infantry regiment with light combined arms assets, Stalwart Support became most famous for its deployments in the Chaos March.

History[edit]
When Harry Sanders formed the Stalwart Support mercenary company, it was intended for garrison duties rather than high-combat deployments. Unfortunately for Sanders, the command would see more combat than expected due to the deteriorating situation of the Chaos March. The company's largest long-term employer was the Saiph Triumvirate, and the command spent over a decade battling insurgents and rebels to the regime of Count Balantine [1]. In response to the seemingly endless supplies of insurgent forces, Count Balantine accepted the assistance of the Word of Blake, which promptly provided valuable advice and weapons to Balatine's forces, including the Stalwart Support. However, Colonel Sanders had growing suspicions of the Blakist interest in the Chaos March, suspicions that became all but confirmed with the arrival of the Dismal Disinherited to the region, throwing the situation into a crisis point.
In 3067 New Canton joined the Word of Blake Protectorate; after this event, the mercenaries allied themselves with the local resistance movement and the Stalwart Support turned to fight the same kind of guerrilla campaign they had been suppressing for the last decade. The Word of Blake reported that every "obstacle" to their securing of the Protectorate had been removed in August 3071, but this was premature; the Stalwart Support continued to fight on - inflicting disproportionate amounts of damage for an infantry regiment - for another two years before they were finally wiped out. Tactics[edit]
The Stalwart Support are an infantry regiment with light armor, artillery and air assets - ideal for the kind of garrison and policing duties the unit was designed for. However, thanks to their experiences in the Saiph Triumvirate, the command also became experts in fighting guerrillas. Using a combined arms-approach of artillery and air power to bombard pinned down enemy positions, the Stalwart Support managed a considerable number of victories over insurgent forces. The command also became noted for the precision of their artillery - able to be called down with pinpoint accuracy even in urban conditions with minimal collateral damage [3] and for their specialization in fighting in tight-quarters urban environments.

The regiment is self-sufficient handles all of its repairs without support from outside. They possess a single Condor-class DropShip.
