My original german CBT rulebook (from around 1992) says Hendrik III is a "direct descendant" from the first pirate king, Col. Hendrik Grimm, and that Oberon VI has been ruled by the Grimm family for more than 170 years. That seems to indicate that the Colonel settled on Oberon in ca. 2850 (assuming the CBT rulebook is set in 3025). However, this does not fit in with the information available on the Oberon Confederation on this site (Bandit Kingdom#Oberon Confederation) where it is strongly implied that Col. Hendrik Grimm was the Grandfather of Hendrik III. Now 170 years seems a little bit too long for only 3 generations... Anyone got hard information? Frabby 07:52, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

The best I can do is: http://www.kerensky.ultraforce.org/btech/periphery/oberon.html, which seems like the English version of what you have. --Scaletail 09:06, 29 August 2007 (CDT)
Thinking about it, just because this is Hendrik III does not mean Hendrik I had to be his grandfather. Also, colonisation of Oberon by renegade forces under Hendrik I was probably not the inception of the Oberon Confederation proper. If that was done by H III's grandfather then it was probably some 20-50 years prior to his rule which was already on in 3017. I stumbled across the Jolly Roger affair today (3001-3004) and that seems a good bet - the timeframe is about right. Just a theory, of course. Reworked the article to make the timeline more clear, and removed some stuff on Oberon VI that does not belong here. Frabby 14:50, 17 May 2008 (CDT)
