Talk:Richard Calderon (24th c.)

I have checked in Handbook: House Davion and there is no mention of Reynard's actions with the Taurian Concordat.Deeppockets 12:02, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

I have boke down and got the 'Handbook' by those TC haters Catalyst and found no mention of this conflict or even much of this time period.Deeppockets 02:44, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Naming conventions of the Article[edit]

Hi Deeppockets. I can understand you wanting to be able to set apart character from the era he from. Have you checked the Handbook: Major Periphery States? This would properly better source of information for your articles and get better handle when some of the characters came from. All Sarna characters use the Roman numerials when you have character who has same name pop up. Richard Calderon Age of War would become Richard Calderon and his decendant or family member who has this name would get Richard Calderon II. This what been done with the old House Book family trees, which been carried on here. I realize Age of War Richard has less info on him, but there nothing that can be done for that. I'm diving into multiple sourcebooks for old & odd characters and i understand frustation. However, i do recommend you shift Richard Age of War & Richard Civil War era to Richard Calderon I & II. -- Wrangler 11:27, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

The two problems I have with the I & II is that only one of these Richards was actually Protector, and it is a gap of some 700 years between the two Richards. I really doubt they were the only Richards in the Calderon line that entire time! The odds of Catalyst/WizKids/whoever-buys-it-up-next going back into the timline and adding significant history that might have yet another Richard Calderon are virtually nil, but then I thought the owners would not chuck the Concordat onto the ashheap of history either. Now I do understand that there are rules to the Wiki, but I had thought the significant differences in these two character's stations/roles were great enough to merit a specific Era title to their pages. If, however, more experinced, principled (and above all, capable-of-banning-me!) people wish a thing done then I shall get it done.Deeppockets 16:23, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
I have also suffered reading the Handbook: Major Periphery States again (God I need a bath), and there is no mention of Richard, Civilwar/II or Lorelei Centrella in it, and other than a mention as being a child of Thomas, no mention of Felix. The Handbook deals with the Magistry and the Trinity Alliance, a period of time I will not be covering.Deeppockets 16:55, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
AHA! I knew I had seen something about another Richard Calderon; this one was the nephew of Henry Calderon and father to Consuelo Calderon, page 48 of The Periphery (sourcebook) circa 2629 between these two Richards. I shall now strive to moderate my gloating (grins).Deeppockets 03:26, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
I think "Age of War" should be in parenthesis. That's the standard for disambiguating article titles. --Scaletail 16:31, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
I agree. I have been working all the overtime they can through at me at my job and will probaly be unable to much more than dash through here untill they hire another body to give me a break. Can anyone modify the title of this and the "Richard, Civil War Era titles to inculde parenthesis as Scaletail has suggested?Deeppockets 02:01, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
