Planetary History[edit]

Tellman's Mistake was first settled in 2460. The original colonists established an agrarian society, with all their arable land given over to growing crops. All meat has to be imported to the world. The first colonists were quickly overwhelmed by a small batlike predator whose bite was annoying, but not usually fatal. Most of the colonists were bitten and infected with a saliva from the bat-creature that acted as an anesthetic. Most of the population quickly recovered, but a few died from a severe allergic reaction. After the bitten colonists overcame the fever, they found themselves feeling better than ever before. After the first wave of bites, no more colonists died. The bat-creatures' saliva bolstered the colonists' immune system and increased the efficiency of their digestive system.[1]

By 2571 it was a part of the Principality of Regulus region of the Free Worlds League and was located on the border between the Principality and the Magistracy of Canopus.[3] During the Reunification War Tellman's Mistake was a supply world for SLDF Task Force Canopus, and in 2581 the commanding officer of the Magistracy Armed Forces, Colonel Adam Buquoy led is mercenary command, Buquoy's Bandits, on a raid against the SLDF supply depots on the planet.[34]

After the 2nd Succession War Tellman's Mistake became an autonomous world within the Free Worlds League; at some point between the dissolution of the League and 3130, Tellman's Mistake joined - or was annexed by - the Rim Commonality.[13]
