The toad-fox is a predatory mammal found on the world of Rahne within the Lyran Commonwealth.[1]

Description[edit]

The Rahne toad-fox is a nocturnal hunter that has evolved to survive the world's extreme seasons. These seasons, known locally as storm, calm, cold and melting, change abruptly every 21 days. It is during the melting season that the toad-fox use their 15-centimeter claws to burrow into mountainsides where they sometimes dig into the underground settlements and mining operations on Rahne. While normally fairly harmless, the toad-fox's poison tipped claws are harmful to humans.

While the locals attribute an evil disposition to the toad-fox, the species tend to avoid humans where it can. Their main foodsource is the native rock-hugger found throughout the mountainous regions that cover Rahne.[1]
