Description

The Wyren Claws use BBL's facilities to store their equipment, but have a different training area to hide their tactics from their rival Stables. Located in Xolara and located in a walled compound two kilometers from the Rankar's Deep, the compound consists of a small apartment building with a multicar garage, and an open area. It is guarded by a dozen former DCMS soldiers who may or may not be armed. To reduce operational expenses, the Claws generally use two reconditioned FWL simulators to run tactical exercises instead of real 'Mech fights.

History

The Wyren Claws have been fighting in the BBL League for a long time. The stable had six good years before the Blakist invasion of Solaris, but its future was not good when the Jihad ended, as all rebuilding efforts went into Solaris City. But once the money started to flow again, and with BBL back in business, the Claws are fielding an experienced team, and look to claim the league title for the first time.

The Stable was one of the twelve that returned in 3086 to fight in the BBL.

During the 3086 Championship and after five weeks, the stable was one of the top three in The Stable Championship along the Red Jians Stables and the Broken Chains Stables.

At midseason the Stable was ranking third of the global classification. The Broken Chains Stables was leading with a two-point advantage over the Broken Chains Stables and three with them and the Red Jians Stables.

Prior to week sixteenth matches, the Wyren Claws had all four of its warriors in the top twenty, and that had put them the first of the global classification, one point ahead of the Red Jians. Led by Captain David Sanada, the Claws are looking for their first championship.

Two weeks to end the year, the global classification had the Wyren Claws Stables as leading the team in the competition with 153 points, followed by the Broken Chains Stables with 150 points, and the Sun Runners Stables with 147 points. The Red Jians Stables were fourth with 135 points.

Like most BBL stables, the tech staff is small, with all the MechWarriors serving as astechs to help get the 'Mechs ready every week. The Claws have three full-time techs, three part-time techs, and five full-time astechs. But they are able to get all 'Mechs ready every week.

The Claws Techs are also masters at salvaging parts from other arenas' scrapheaps (stealing), though that has made them unpopular with those other arenas.

Tactics and Style

Wyren Claws warriors prefer marksmanship and skilled maneuvering to a slugfest. The members of the BBL team stick to the general idea, but allow for their own personalities in their tactics.
