History

Operation Revival

The 139th Striker Cluster fought on the following worlds during the invasion of the Inner Sphere as a part of Alpha Galaxy:

Wave Four

Wave Five

Tukayyid

...

Post Invasion

The 139th served on every world at the borders of the Ghost Bear Occupation Zone for three years following the Truce of Tukayyid, fighting Inner Sphere forces on several occasions.

In 3055, the unit was recalled to the Clan Homeworlds, where it formed the core of a new Galaxy trained to emulate Inner Sphere tactics.

First Draconis Combine/Ghost Bear War

As a part of Omega Galaxy the 139th was directly involved in the First Draconis Combine / Ghost Bear War, which began in 3062 with a suicidal attack by three regiments of the Alshain Avengers against Alshain. The units of Omega Galaxy fought Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery troops on Schuyler and Meilen and then faced off against Clan Nova Cat forces on Yamarovka, location of the last of the surviving Alshain Avengers. Before Omega could engage the Avengers the rogue DCMS unit was destroyed by the Nova Cat's Zeta Galaxy, which then retreated offworld before offering even token resistance to the Ghost Bears.[1]

Officers

As of 3061 the Commanding Officer was Star Colonel Kelly Forrester[2]. She replaced Hunter Tseng, who was promoted to command of Omega Galaxy, and was still in command of the 139th in 3067.[3]

Tactics

The cluster was created with one goal in mind: to the the IS armies with their own tactics. This includes tactical retreat, massed fire and others.[2]

Composition

3061

3067

139th Striker Cluster (Veteran/Fanatical)[3]

- Stationed on Mannedorf at this point in time, the 139th was at seventy percent of full strength although eighty percent of the Cluster was equipped with OmniMechs or equivalent technology.[3]

Notes

  • Invading Clans also lists the 139th as having taken part in the conquest of Thule, but the main text identifies Alpha Galaxy's contribution as the Fiftieth Striker and Field Manual: Warden Clans supports the latter view.[2]
