Template:InfoBoxNovel A Bonfire of Worlds, by Steven Mohan Jr., is the first MechWarrior: Dark Age novel to be published by Catalyst Game Labs. Originally set for release in November 2008, it has repeatedly been rescheduled for early 2010.

On February 9th, 2009, Game Trade Magazine published a 4-page preview of the novel in PDF format (see External Links below).

Before it appeared in print, the entire novel was released as a 15-parts serial on BattleCorps starting 15 March 2009, with subsequent parts published at a rate of two per month. The final part was published on 15 October 2009 and then again on 1 November, presumably due to an oversight.

From the back cover

Risking everything on one last chance for survival, ComStar kidnaps engineering genius Tucker Harwell who unravels the Blackout’s greatest mystery. Among the Clans, Khan Malvina Hazen of the Jade Falcons hunts for the next enemy to crush beneath her brutal Mongol Doctrine, and the warrior Alaric Wolf makes his move into the halls of power.

Plans years in the making come together across hundreds of star systems. Secrets hidden for decades will finally be revealed.

While an empire goes up in flames.
