The Achtur system is the location of at least one habitable planet or construct and as at 2750 was located in the Sian Commonality of the Capellan Confederation.[1]

System Description

Achtur is located near the Herotitus and Huanghuadian systems and is close to the border between the Capellan Confederation and the Periphery.[1][2]

System History

The Achtur system was originally known as Untran,[1] and was either settled or annexed by the Capellan Confederation during the Star League era. Achtur vanished from maps during the Second Succession War,[3][4] either because the system had been depopulated or it was no longer considered significant enough to be recorded on maps.

The star map in the apocryphal BattleTech (Video Game), set in 3025, refers to the system as "Untran". Background information states that the Capellan settlement was founded to harvest the planet's rich ore and precious gem deposits. Since the planet is a wind-swept desert and cannot support agriculture, the settlement could not provide for itself when the Capellan government pulled out. As of 3025, there is no permanent habitation in the system.[5]
