History[edit]
Following the Blackout when New Home's HPG station ceased operation, and the resulting reduction in Republic oversight, some of the world's population considered Whitman's rule devolved into a grab for more land, resources and power. While he retained the support of the powerful local noble family House Cavalqueros, and a large part of the planetary militia, he did face a rebellion lead by Zander Shienzè of House Shienzè in circa 3132.[3][4]
Notes[edit]
- Whitman is noted as Legate rather than Governor in one source[1], swapped with the individual otherwise named as Legate by other sources[2]. As the Dark Age: Republic Worlds (3130) listing of Republican planetary Governors and Legates is generally relied upon by other Canon sources such as Dark Age: 3132-3134 INN, over the one in Dark Age: Republic of the Sphere, its information has similarly been preferred as correct for the purposes of this article.
