Planetary History

Star League Era

By the height of the Star League Crofton was the location of a significant percentage of the defense manufacturing that supplied the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. While the overall manufacturing base of the Federated Suns was highly dispersed and diversified, a core group of worlds - New Avalon, Crofton, Kathil, Panpour, Salem and Talcott - supplied move than half of all the equipment used by the AFFS.[29]

The massive StarCorps Industries plant on Crofton began as a satellite site for the Terran Hegemony-based manufacturer, but such was the quality and technical expertise available within the Federated Suns manufacturing industry that the StarCorps facility continued to expand, and by 2765 it was considered likely that the facility would eventually rival the main StarCorps manufacturing plant on Fletcher.[29]

The Dark Age

Crofton is located in the Periphery March in the Anjin Muerto PDZ. Given its prime location between the Filtvelt Coalition and the Outworlds Alliance, Crofton serves as a logistical hub for Armed Forces of the Federated Suns forces in the region. It is also home to one of the largest StarCorps Industries production plants in the Federated Suns.[1] Despite the rebuilding and reconstruction work going on in the wake of the Jihad the StarCorps plant was unable to expand because of issues with supply lines.[30]
