Description

The Dawn Tender Class of converted cargo air ships, designed for the tourist trade in the Draconis Combine. The vehicle originated on Combine world of Athenry, where are employed to travel the planet taking passengers to scenic locations around the planet.

The ships own is existence to Athenry's depleted resources, which were tapped out by dawn of the 31st Century. In 3040s, the local government struggling to come up with new resources, decided to convert older cargo air ships into the new tourist role, re-christining them as the Dawn Trender Class.

By late 3050, Athenry became a the tourist destination for those who enjoy taking view from pleasure that travels the skies. The cruises by 3067, only cost family of four 750 k-bills a tour in comparison more expensive tours else where.

Cargo & Capabilities

The Airship refitted as mix cargo and passenger vessel. The ship features passenger capacity for 20 2nd Class and 5 1st Class Passenger Cabins. The vehicle features a Light Vehicle Bay for small VTOLs to be used at the passenger's be and call. Also, it can be brought into service as Medivac vehicle.

For Trender's cargo capacity, the ship features a 19.5 ton cargo bay, with three lift hoists lowering and raising the ship's cargo through the bay's bottom/keel placed cargo door.

The ship also has 10 Searchlights mounted pairs in front and back, and three on each side of the ship.

Variants

• Provost Class Cargo Airship — Original design of the Dawn Trender, utilized in centuries before the 31st as a ore carrier. These ships featured a ICE & Fuel Cell engines which were consider too costly be retained for its new life as Passenger Ship. The ship had a 39.5 cargo capacity when it was in service.
