The Dicallus system was the location of at least one habitable world, Dicallus III, and as at 3145 an independent system located in the Periphery in the region of space between the Calderon Protectorate, Pirate's Haven star cluster, Taurian Concordat and the June Operational Area of the Periphery March of the Federated Suns.[2][3]

System Description

The Dicallus system is located close to the Norman's World and Tirabad systems[4][5] and consists of a class G2V primary orbited by at least three worlds.[1]

System History

The Dicallus system was either colonised by the Taurian Concordat during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War, or was an already-inhabited system that became significant enough during this era to be recorded on maps by the Inner Sphere nations.[6][4][5]

Dicallus III

Template:InfoBoxPlanetStandard

Dicallus III - more commonly known simply as Dicallus - is the third planet in the system and has a single moon named Mond. The surface of Dicallus was home to a notable industrial manufacturer, Bowie Industries, for a number of centuries.[1]

Planetary History

Historically, Dicallus was probably best known for the genetically engineered dogs that accompanied most of the planetary population. These dogs were bred to fight off the native predators of Dicallus and were vital to a successful life on Dicallus. The native predators were cunning, deadly to humans, and appeared in a wide variety. They also successfully resisted all attempts at eradication, leading to the development of canine companions with significantly extended lifespans.[1]
