Captain Douglas MacElroy was an officer in Alpha Regiment of Wolf's Dragoons as of 3028.[1]

MacElroy was reputed to have a gruff and abrasive manner, behind which lurked a genuine affection for his MechWarriors and the Dragoons. His subordinates recognized this, and accepted his occasional outbursts with good humor.
He was also known as a loving husband and father, and his talent with the bagpipes was near legendary.
As of early 3028, MacElroy commanded MacElroy's Company of Baker Battalion. Following the Battle of Misery, where his 'Mech was destroyed and all the MechWarriors closest to him died, MacElroy became commander of the Scout Lance of Alpha Regiment's Fifth Provisional Company. He subsequently went on to fight with the Fifth Provisional on Glenmora, where his luck ran out and he was ultimately killed.[1]
BattleMechs[edit]
MacElroy was known to initially pilot an Archer BattleMech, which was destroyed on Misery, and subsequently a Firefly which was destroyed when he died on Glenmora.[1]
