Elina Houan was a Khan from Clan Hell's Horses during the Golden Century.[1]
History[edit]
Elina Houan was involved in heavy fighting between Clan Hell's Horses and Clan Smoke Jaguar on Atreus in 2879. The losses from Atreus on the heels of earlier mishaps regarding the Rhino battle armor led Elina to challenge Star Colonel Geoff Mitchell for command of his Cluster.
The Trial would be fought on the Cashell Peninsula on Tokasha. While Geoff studied the topography, Elina set up multiple resupply areas for the SRM launcher on her Rhino. During the Trial, Elina was able to move from one area to another to reload her suit without leaving and keep up a steady fire on Geoff's Black Knight. The rough terrain limited Geoff's movement and Elina was able to wear his BattleMech down until she was able to kill Geoff with a hit to his 'Mech's head.
Upon returning triumphant, Elina was accused of un-Clanlike tactics, but she defeated her accuser in a Trial of Grievance. She thus was able to keep her new command of the Cluster and she worked to make sure Clan Hell's Horses adopted the new Elemental battle armor over the Rhino. In time, she would become Khan of Clan Hell's Horses. [1]
