[2318-2321] The Muskegon Empire broke apart when the 7-world nation announced it was joining of the Federated Suns. While the world of Muskegon joined the Federated Suns almost flawlessly, the worlds of Emerson and Beten Kaitos[1] chose to join the Chesterton Trade Federation. Those worlds had been ruled by iron hand of the Achmeed family, wanted nothing to do with them their deal with Suns. The Federated Suns demanded that Emerson and Beten Katos follow its leading world and join the FS. So the two worlds ignored Crucis Pact conference.

Federated Suns troops were soon marching over both worlds.[2] Which lead to the newly formed Federated Sun's first interstellar conflict. Tikonov Grand Union sided with Chesterton reinforcing them. Chesterton's forces easily rolled over the Federation Suns troops that went to occupy those worlds.

Due to President Lucien Davion poor military leadership & coordination of the newly formed nation was cemented, the conflict ended with Chesterton claiming both worlds after they turned hand several times in course of four year war.[3]

Notes

Muskegon's multi-national name is never fully given. There references of being called Muskegon Empire, and other times refering to it Muskegon's coalition. However, Empire appears in both source books for the FedSun's history. Thus going with this name.
