Apocryphal Content Starts

The information after this notice comes from apocryphal sources; the canonicity of such information is uncertain.
Please view the reference page for information regarding their canonicity.

The database of the (apocryphal) 1989 video game MechWarrior, set around the year 3025, gives a population of 1,879 million for Garrison and describes the environment as "desert" (out of only three broad impressions of planetary environments given in the game, these being "desert", "ice", or "tropical"). The description one-liner reads "Military training center and post."

Apocryphal Content Ends

During the reign of Archon Katrina Steiner Garrison was the target of a Draconis Combine attack. While the nature of the attacking forces isn't recorded, the attacking force is known to have consisted of some fifteen lances of 'Mechs including lances drawn from among the some of the finest Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery units. With more important worlds under attack, Archon Steiner was forced to withdraw her defending 'Mech forces to defend higher priority targets, leaving the defense of Garrison to purely infantry forces. Despite the traditional disparity between 'Mechs and infantry in combat, the infantry forces were able to use numbers and the mobility offered by fast-moving Armored Personnel Carriers in combination with the local terrain to defeat and drive off the attacking 'Mech forces.[31]
