Gilda Felra was a member of the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces during the Late Succession Wars and into the Clan Invasion.
History[edit]
In 3025, Gilda was a Colonel in command of the 4th Donegal Guards.[1] During the Fourth Succession War, she led the 4th in the attacks on Harvest, Kirchbach and Liezen during Operation GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG.[2]
While it is noted that she was a veteran of the War of 3039, it is unknown which unit she commanded nor what battles she participated in at this time.[3]
At some time prior to 3050, Gilda was promoted to Hauptmann General and placed in command of the 25th Arcturan Guards.[4] While the unit was posted in a quiet sector, she was still in command of the unit when Clan Wolf attacked her post on Sevren during Operation REVIVAL. Under her leadership, the 25th was able to blunt Clan Wolf's initial attacks and not lose any ground. However, Clan forces would find a weakness in her lines before she could send in reinforcements and the 25th was pushed off of Sevren and moved to Colmar.[3] There Gilda and the 25th would encounter Clan Jade Falcon forces. There she would again find little success due to the previous damage taken while fighting Clan Wolf. Again, she and her unit was forced to withdrawal. But, not before helping many Lyran citizens to escape with them.[5][6]
When the Clans were stopped by Comstar at Tukayyid in 3052, she and her 25th Guards were stationed on Mkuranga.[7] From there she pushed the Federated Commonwealth command for permission to launch attacks into the Clan Occupation Zone to help the citizens trapped there. Her requests were rebuffed each time. It is rumored that she and her unit would launch unsanctioned small unit attacks onto Clan occupied worlds. While this was never verified, it seems likely the attacks occurred.[5] However, it was confirmed that the 25th was supporting several commando teams behind enemy lines to destabilize the Clan.[8]
At some point between 1 January and 6 December of 3062[9][10], Gilda retired or was forced to retire from military life as a Leutnant General. Many still in the 25th still followed her beliefs and style of leadership when she left.[8]
