The Guldra system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as at 2750 was located in the Brinton Union of the Taurian Concordat.[2][3]

System Description

The Guldra system is located near the Coromodir and Tyrlon systems.[2][3]

System History

The Guldra system was either colonised by the Taurian Concordat at some point during the Star League era at some point after the end of the Reunification War, or was an already-inhabited world that became significant enough during this era to merit being recorded on maps.[4][2][3] Guldra vanished from maps during the First Succession War;[5][6][7][8][9] in many ways, Guldra's fate was typical of that of many Periphery colonies in the First Succession War. The Periphery Uprising reduced trade from the Inner Sphere significantly, something that the Amaris Civil War further curtailed. When the First Succession War erupted, trade from the Great Houses stopped, as each devoted their economies to the war efforts, and the independent traders still trading in the Periphery were able to pick up just a tiny fraction of the volume of trade many systems depended on. Guldra, like so many Periphery worlds, died for want of a SL$5 anti-viral or a simple widget, something that had been commonly available during the Star League era.[10]

In the BattleTech (Video Game) Guldra is one of the worlds within the faction known as the Aurigan Coalition.[52] It is unclear if the world recovered after the First Succession War (and was never truly depopulated), or if it was recolonized at some point.

The in-game star map describes the world as the most Earth-like planet in the Aurigan Reach, and a major food supplier for the region. Agricultural and manufacturing exports have made Guldra rich and prosperous, and the standard of living is said to be closer to the core worlds of the Inner Sphere than the norm of the Rimward Periphery. The total population is just over one billion.

Guldra is the ancestral seat of House Madeira, a member of the Founding Council of the Aurigan Coalition.[52]
