Description
The Heavy Gauss Rifle was developed by scientists in the Lyran Alliance. True to their "bigger is better" philosophy, Lyrans created the heaviest weapon in existence designed for ground units. Nicknamed "Thor's Hammer" among members of the Lyran Alliance Armed Forces (LAAF), it is also the most destructive power that can unleashed in a single shot. The rifle uses a larger slug than its standard cousin, the result of which is a velocity that drops off quickly, leading to decreased damage with increasing range. Thus, the weapon does 25 points of damage at short range, 20 at medium, and only 10 at long range.
